St Joseph's is a junior football club based on fair play and a sporting spirit, not on winning games as the be-all and end-all. We give our players the opportunity to meet new friends, to develop both their football and life skills in a safe environment and to play competitive football. St Joseph's Juniors were originally formed in 1984 to give boys going to St Joseph's RC Junior School in Pontefract the chance to play football. Since then through the efforts of many supporting adults the club has grown to support teams in thirteen different age groups. The teams are made up of boys and girls from schools across the 'Five Towns' area who can join regardless of religion, race or ability. The Football Association have awarded the club FA Charter Standard staus. All coaches have achieved at least FA Coaching Level 1 qualification and all have a CRB certificate. Our long term aim is to establish a permanent home with a club house where we can hold meetings and social gatherings. Anyone and everyone is invited to come and get involved. |
